Fundamentals of Oil Contracts Downstream, International workshop 17 - 19 October 2011, Moscow
This course covers fundamental areas of downstream oil contracts taking into account logistics and finance. It addresses from both practical and legal viewpoints how to deal with dispute situations that may arise in the performance of these contracts. Through a mixture of current practice, delegates will address day-to-day problems and will learn how to avoid many of the pitfalls that may occur. Real case studies and exercises will provide hands-on experience to enable delegates to draft, interpret and operate oil contracts to minimise the risk of dispute.
Much of the work will be carried out in teams, where participants will simulate real in-company practice, working with other delegates drawn from a wide background of disciplines in the industry. Delegates will be given the task of drafting a contract and will be guided by the lecturers through the relevant stages.
This a rare opportunity to have all essential aspects of the downstream transportation and trading of oil in one complete course programme
