Intensive Energy Trading University TradeCruiser
25 - 29 January 2010, Moscow, Russia
Module 1. Introduction course

If you are serious about learning all the intimate details of physical and financial trading and all the intricacies of trade optimization, refining, logistics and marketing then you should consider this intensive, action packed 2 week program. It isa fact that often pure buy/sell back-to-back trades generate very slim margins, if any. To be a truly successful trader one has to know how to optimize trade flow through the access to certain physical assets and transportation capacity as well as tohow efficiently utilize a company’s operations and systems.

Besides focusing on physical and financial markets you will learn such key areas of physical trading as shipping and demurrage, freight derivatives, components blending, refinery optimization, physical and financial arbitrage. The course will also cover trade and project finance and commercial implications of trade agreements on deal economics. In addition to derivatives trading games we will offer exciting games, case studies and practical examples for physical cargo pricing, product logistics and refinery feedstock optimization.
