INTRODUCTION TO DEMURRAGE COURSE
5-6 February, Moscow

Most demurrage departments save about 7% on demurrage receivables, but an experienced, knowledgeable analyst that is proactive can save up 35%.

This information filled demurrage training course increase knowledge of the intricacies of laytime and demurrage issues and provides cost-effective solutions in order to minimize disputes. The programs reinforce charter party obligations between shipowners and charterers, as well as sales contract demurrage. Additionally, course participation will broaden awareness of common demurrage pitfalls, best business practices, and will facilitate networking with industry contacts whilst providing a friendly forum for discussing specific laytime and demurrage issues.

This introductory two day course provides an overview of laytime calculations, demurrage analysis, charter parties, and facilitates a working knowledge of tanker and terminal operations. Participants will learn key shipping and demurrage concepts

Kathleen Haugen, Managing Director, Haugen Consulting LLC, has successfully represented leading petroleum and petrochemical producers, traders, ship owners and brokers in the areas of ship operations, chartering, demurrage management, and arbitration representation over the past 20 years.
