The Congress has earned a reputation within the industry as the best source of information on transportation routes (pipelines, railways and shipping) and storage for the development of crude oil and products exports. It looks for solutions to the logistical problems associated with the storage and transshipment of crude oil, products and LPG.

Master Class and Briefing: A master class and information briefing with A.J. Panerny, Director General of federal state enterprise ‘Directorate of State Contracting Authority for Marine Transport Development Programmes’ will be held on 27 November. The subjects to be discussed at the briefing are as follows:
• Marine Port Law
• Approval of port master plans and building of terminals in practice
• Problems related to the transfer of land intended for the construction of port facilities, including oil terminals.
• Pass office points, boundaries of water basins and terminal territories, etc.
• Safety requirements for cargo handling, safety passports, handling restrictions for certain oil products according to the new version of technical regulations.
Specialised Exhibition: An international specialised exhibition of technologies, equipment and services of service companies intended for oil tank farms and oil and gas loading terminals entitled ‘Expo Terminal’ and a Plenary Meeting on issues regarding the use of up-to-date technologies and equipment in designing, construction and operation of oil tank farms and terminals will be organised as part of the Congress
Technical Visit to LUKOIL-II Terminal on Vysotsk Island: This visit to the oil product transshipment and loading complex LUKOIL-II on Vysotsk Island in the St. Petersburg Region will take place on 29 November. In terms of technical equipment and ecological safety, the complex, one of the largest of its kind in Europe, is among the most modern terminals in the world. The terminal was awarded winner of the Breakthrough of the Year category at the International OIL TERMINAL 2006 Awards Ceremony.
