"Biofuel - a New Market Niche" - International workshop 13 - 14 March 2008, Riga, Latvia

Biofuels production and consumption volumes continue to rise rapidly in many countries of the world. Every year sees dozens of bioplants commissioned in Europe, and biomass suppliers all over the globe are increasing their exports. 11:30 Site visit for bioplant "BIO-VENTA". Delegates will be able to visit one of the most promising and recently constructed plants in Latvia with a capacity of 100 thousand tons per year! The complex incorporates a rapeseed processing facility. The technology enables not only the use of rapeseed oil but also soybean oil, palm oil and the oil of other vegetable oils, as well as to refine used cooking oils.
