The Congress has earned a reputation in the field of business as the best source of information about transport routes for the development of directions for exports, the solution of logistical problems in connection with the storage and handling of oil and liquefied hydrocarbon gasses, the sharing of experience among representatives of port service authorities and oil terminals in European and CIS countries.

Thanks to a thorough programme and excellent lecturers, the Congress enables participants to gain an in-depth knowledge of trade flows in the CIS and in Europe, identifying the prospects of various markets and transportation routes, and expanding on economic issues concerning different methods of transportation and investments in oil loading complexes and oil tank farms. In 2006 and 2007 the Congress saw the participation of directors from 37 terminals of oil products and LPG currently in operation, 12 terminals under construction, 9 port authorities from Russia and Europe, over 120 directors and logistics managers of oil and trader companies, over 40 representatives of service companies, including institutes of design, consulting companies and banks, producers of equipment and technologies. In terms of geography the Congress represents all regions of Russia. Over 30 percent of those participating in the Congress are international representatives from Kazakhstan, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Ukraine, Israel, Germany, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Turkey, Norway, Switzerland, Serbia, Romania and other countries.
