LPG Trading and Transportation, International workshop 26 - 27 October 2010, Moscow, Russia

LPG Trading and Transportation
International workshop
26-27 October, Moscow

The LPG market is experiencing numerous exciting developments by way of new projects and supply sources. Middle East developments have long been under discussion but they are not alone with shale gas in North America and gas processing projects in Russia in particular likely to have a significant impact. With LPG long and going longer this poses some questions on end use consumption and pricing and managing business opportunities. This intensive international hands-on course will provide a comprehensive analysis of issues associated with international market developments, pricing and transportation of LPG. Analysis of projects, a mixture of case studies, lectures and analytical exercises will be used to provide delegates with unique practical knowledge and skills on different areas. Special attention will be dedicated to the following topics:

1.Trading and pricing
Europe is set to be a price battleground; the US has storage and an extensive gas based petrochemicals industry; East Asia has historically consumed large volumes of merchant LPG, but domestic supply is increasing. Placing Eurasian supplies onto international markets requires an understanding of developments in international trade, pricing tools and specifications. To do this we include trading and pricing workshops and break-out sessions.

2.Transportation
Transportation choices must be looked at in the context of the overall marketing and supply effort, so we look at a range of rail and shipping contract choices and how these can be used to enhance business opportunities. Some of these choices can have a dramatic risk management impact, so we include case studies which demonstrate uses of transportation contracts, specifically using Eurasian examples and how to calculate costs under varying conditions and aims.
